The Mount Saint Mary's University Mountaineers compete as members of the Northeast Conference in NCAA Division I basketball. The school has not sponsored football since 1950. Mount Saint Mary's is a private Catholic (independent) institution located in Emmitsburg, Maryland, about an hour south of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
