The Marycrest International University Eagles ceased operations in 2002 when the school closed due to financial problems. At the time, the school was a member of the Midwest Collegiate Conference (1988-2015), competing in NAIA Division II basketball. It did not sponsor football. Marycrest, also known for a time as "Teikyo Marycrest", was originally a women-only Catholic (Humility of Mary) institution, then a private non-sectarian institution located in Davenport, Iowa.
