Jon, I don't know what information you're basing District 17 on, but I'm positive that there was a 6-team tournament that year. Henderson State's own media guide does not list any opponents for the playoff rounds that year. Furthermore, Central Arkansas' own media guide has the Bears beating Ouachita Baptist, before losing to Henderson State.

* In this case, I'm almost positive it would have been the wire feed listing the best-of-three on consecutive days in the agate section, which is of course just as prone to error as media guides.  I haven't found any game stories anywhere to confirm or deny either hypothesis, though.  One of these days, I may have to scoot across the border to Fayetteville and raid a library to sort it out, since the Democrat isn't digitally archived (yet).[[User:Jon|Jon]] 16:43, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

Henderson State's own media guide does not list any opponents for the playoff rounds that year. Furthermore, Central Arkansas' own media guide has the Bears beating Ouachita Baptist, before losing to Henderson State.

  • In this case, I'm almost positive it would have been the wire feed listing the best-of-three on consecutive days in the agate section, which is of course just as prone to error as media guides.
