The Swarthmore College Garnet compete as members of the Centennial Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school ceased sponsoring football in 2000. Swarthmore is a private Quaker institution located in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, a southwestern suburb of Philadelphia. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
