The Henderson State University Reddies compete as members of the Gulf South Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. In 2012, the school will leave the Gulf South to join the newly-formed Great American Conference. Henderson State is a public institution located midway between Texarkana and Little Rock, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
