The Harding University Bison compete as members of the Gulf South Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. In 2012, the school will leave the Gulf South to join the newly-formed Great American Conference. Harding is a private Church of Christ institution located about an hour northeast of Little Rock in Searcy, Arkansas. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 5,000.
