And so here we are, with an NAIA recap which consists solely of the bare minimum information that I mine first thing Sunday morning. I could have discussed #5 William Penn’s 19-8 win over Saint Francis (IL), or #4 Morningside’s 28-3 victory at #18 Doane, or Southern Oregon’s 68-22 destruction of #24 Eastern Oregon; that these were the three most interesting games of the week should make you realize you’re not missing much this week.

And with that, on with the bare bones:
Still Perfect:
Only seven teams have survived to week seven unblemished; all seven won or were idle last Saturday. However, that number will definitely drop by at least one this week when 6-0 Cumberlands (KY) visits Georgetown (KY) to battle for supremacy in the Mid-South. William Penn is also 6-0, while Hastings, Marian (IN), Missouri Valley, and Morningside are all 5-0.

Still Imperfect:
Eleven teams continue to search for the elusive first win, down from twelve after Olivet Nazarene got themselves off the list with their overtime upset of Siena Heights. 0-5 Bethel (KS) hosts 0-5 Sterling this week, so one of those two will finally get off the list this week. Also at 0-5 are Bethany (KS), Concordia (MI), and Point; Bluefield, Culver-Stockton, Dordt, Haskell, and Olivet Nazarene are all 0-6. Dakota State, at 0-7, sits at the bottom of the entire college football food chain for the moment.

The New Top 25:

Other scores of note:
Nail-Biters:
Olivet Nazarene 20, at Siena Heights 14 (OT)
Webber International 19, at Menlo 14

Done Been Trucked:
Lindenwood-Belleville 60, at Haskell 20
at Bethel (TN) 57, Pikeville 17
Langston 40, at Wayland Baptist 0
at Friends 44, Bethel (KS) 6

Defense Is an Optional Package:
Valley City State 61, at Mayville State 36

No Offense… But No Offense:
Kentucky Christian 13, at Belhaven 10

NAIA Spreadsheet: (Excel2003, 194 kb) Apologies: As I’d warned earlier in the week, this week wasn’t going to go swimmingly.
