CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS<\/strong>: Montana, Montana State<\/p>\n

No action in the Big Sky this week, as Montana had a bye awaiting the winner of the Central Arkansas\/Tennessee Tech game; they’ll now host Central Arkansas Saturday. Montana State already knew they were hosting New Hampshire.<\/p>\n

CONFERENCE CHAMPION<\/strong>: Stony Brook<\/p>\n

STONY BROOK 31, Albany 28<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Stony Brook won a wild one at home against NEC champion Albany this week, intercepting a pass in the end zone in the final 70 seconds to prevent the Great Danes from taking the lead. They’ll travel to the only remaining unbeaten in FCS, Sam Houston State, on Saturday.<\/p>\n

CONFERENCE CHAMPION<\/strong>: Towson<\/p>\n

OLD DOMINION 35, Norfolk State 18<\/a><\/strong>
\nJAMES MADISON 20, Eastern Kentucky 17<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Both CAA teams in action this week came away with wins; Old Dominion cruised past Norfolk State in the Battle of the Tidewater, while James Madison recovered from a 10-point deficit to beat Eastern Kentucky on a last-second field goal.<\/p>\n

Old Dominion will now travel to Georgia Southern, while James Madison visits North Dakota State. Already set before this week’s games were Maine’s trip to Appalachian State, New Hampshire’s visit to Montana State, and Towson’s home date against Lehigh.<\/p>\n

Norfolk pretty much got blown out by cross-town rival Old Dominion. That ends the MEAC season.<\/p>\n

CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS<\/strong>: North Dakota State, Northern Iowa<\/p>\n

North Dakota State and Northern Iowa had byes this week. Northern Iowa already knew they’d be hosting Wofford this week; North Dakota State had to wait for James Madison to dispatch Eastern Kentucky to find out their opponent.<\/p>\n

Stony Brook 31, ALBANY 28<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Albany fell to their America East conference-mates from Stony Brook in heartbreaking fashion Saturday, thus ending the NEC season.<\/p>\n

CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS<\/strong>: Tennessee Tech, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State<\/p>\n

James Madison 20, EASTERN KENTUCKY 17<\/a><\/strong>
\nCentral Arkansas 34, TENNESSEE TECH 14<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The OVC season came to an end, as Eastern Kentucky fell to James Madison on a last-second field goal, and Tennessee Tech was easily defeated by Central Arkansas.<\/p>\n

Georgia Southern, Wofford, and Appalachian State all had first-round byes. Wofford was already slated to visit Northern Iowa this week, and Appalachian State was already set to host Maine. Georgia Southern didn’t know their opponent until Old Dominion routed Norfolk State.<\/p>\n

CONFERENCE CHAMPION:<\/strong> Sam Houston State<\/p>\n

CENTRAL ARKANSAS 34, Tennessee Tech 14<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Central Arkansas easily handled Tennessee Tech to move on to the second round; they’ll visit Montana. Sam Houston State, the final unbeaten in FCS, will host Stony Brook, who beat Albany in the first round.<\/p>\n

EASTERN DIVISION CHAMPIONS<\/strong>: Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Jackson State
\nWESTERN DIVISION CHAMPIONS<\/strong>: Grambling State<\/p>\n

BAYOU CLASSIC: GRAMBLING STATE 36, SOUTHERN 12<\/a><\/strong>
\nTURKEY DAY CLASSIC: ALABAMA STATE 30, Tuskegee 21<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Grambling State scored an easy win over Southern in the Bayou Classic, and clinched the outright West Division title in the process. They’ll face Alabama A&M on December 10 in the SWAC Championship Game. Alabama State concluded their regular season with a win over Tuskegee in the annual Turkey Day Classic.<\/p>\n
