Si Tanka-Huron (2000-2004)
--------------------------------
I don't know of any non-JUCO conference that kept a JUCO team around as long as
the NDAC. The SDIC folded into the NDAC in 2000, and it was renamed the Dakota-10.
Actually, it's a merger, but I view this exactly like the Big Twelve; all the NDAC
teams moved, but some of the SDIC teams had left to join the Great Plains.
Si Tanka-Huron closed its doors in the spring of 2005, and Mary departed to join
NCAA Division II and the Northern Sun Conference in 2006, forcing the conference to
drop the "-10" designation. Minot State is moving to D-II as well, continuing the drain.

Northwestern (IA) (1991)
--------------------------------
Sioux Falls (2000-2009)
--------------------------------
Nobody had left through 2009. All the Nebraska schools were once part of
the Nebraska CC; Concordia, Dana, and Midland Lutheran left in 1959 to form the
Tri-State, and then worked their way back to the smaller Nebraska conference when
it formed a decade later. However, Sioux Falls is now moving to D-II, so they
become the first defector.

Wichita State (1914-1928) Fairmount
--------------------------------
The oldest-surviving NAIA conference, and maybe the oldest period. Split
in 1928 as the larger schools split off to form the Central IAC. Saint Mary's (KS)
is not to be confused with Saint Mary (KS); they are Saint Mary's College and the
University of Saint Mary, respectively, and are two wholly separate institutions.

MID-SOUTH (1987-)
Belhaven (1998)
Bethel (TN) (2003)

North Greenville (1995-2000)
Tusculum (1991-1995)
--------------------------------
I suspect there are holes here. Lees-McRae might have briefly been a
member during its brief foray into football in the 90s. Much confusion has
been alleviated by Cumberland College (KY) changing its name to University of
the Cumberlands. Not much, though... The drain is hitting the MSC, as well,
with Kentucky Wesleyan returning to D-II and Lambuth following; West Virginia
Tech is also exploring a return to D-II and the WVIAC.

Urbana (1994-2008)
Westminster (PA) (1994-1997)
--------------------------------
Huge conglomeration, actually two "leagues" under one umbrella but
since teams shift leagues to accommodate overall alignment shifts, I keep
them under one heading. A mix of old-line minor powerhouses and teams which
still don't have their ears wet. Being hit hard by defections to NCAA D-II,
but managing to plug the gaps with new programs.

CENTRAL CHURCH (1951/2-1957)
Concordia (NE) (1951-1957)
Dana (1951-1957)
Tarkio (1951-1957)
Westmar (1951-1957)
--------------------------------
Tarkio maintained their membership in the Missouri College Athletic Union
throughout. Westmar left the Iowa Conference after the 1953 season, so they
may have moved (and 1954 may have been the first season for this conference
as a result).

DAKOTA-IOWA (pre-1946-1947/8/9)
Buena Vista (pre-1946-1947/8/9)
Dakota Wesleyan (pre-1946-1947/8/9)
Si Tanka-Huron (pre-1946-1947/8/9)
Sioux Falls (pre-1946-1947/8/9)
Westmar (pre-1946-1947/8/9) Western Union, Teikyo Westmar
Yankton (pre-1946-1947/8/9)
--------------------------------
The only thing I have on this conference is that they were around in 1946.
Sometime before 1954, they merged into the South Dakota Conference, except
for Buena Vista, who went back to solely being members of the Iowa conference.
Westmar had also been a member of the Iowa conference, and remained a member
through 1953.

OREGON (1956-1969)
Eastern Oregon (1956-1969)
George Fox (1966-1968)

Southern Oregon (1956-1969)

--------------------------------
Mostly folded into the Evergreen Conference in 1970.

Yankton (1948/49/1950-1959)
--------------------------------
Expanded by absorbing parts of the Dakota-Iowa conference around 1950, then died
by being absorbed into the Dakota-10.

TRI-STATE (1960-post-1974)
Bethel (MN) (1968/69/70-1976)
Concordia (NE) (1960-1968)
Concordia-St. Paul (1971-1974)
Dana (1960-1968)
Midland Lutheran (1960-1968)

Yankton (1960-post-1978)
--------------------------------
As things go, this was a pretty serious conference.
